Newark, Delaware.  Saturday, May 4th.
Kevin and I will be hanging out at Captain Blue Hen Comics in Newark, Delaware on Saturday, May 4th for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! Joe and his Blue Hen crew will be giving out free comic books in their store, and they've invited a bunch of local artists to come out and set up shop under their tents!  There will be food carts, open sketch commissions, art talk presentations by all the artists, and free comics in the store!  We'll have plenty of Ensign Two copies on hand for sale and we'd love to see you. :)

Where are you spending your FCBD?

Raleigh, North Carolina.  Thursday - Sunday, May 23rd - 26th.
We've been approved!  We've booked our hotel room!  We've (almost) packed our bags!  Ha ha, we're headed down to North Carolina for the Memorial Day weekend at Animazement.  I'm going to be teaching a series of Art Business panels: one for every morning of the con at 9am: Friday: Artist Alley, Saturday: Webcomics, & Sunday: Publishing. Kevin's going to open commissions for through middle of Saturday of the convention. Come by and sign up early, because commission slots fill up fast!

Philadelphia, PA.  Thursday - Sunday, May 30th - June 2nd.
Everything's finally lined up, and we're going to Wizard World Philly again this year, with many wonderful things! We're going to be at our table in the Artist Alley all weekend, so come by and meet the artist and keep us company, read our thrilling and poignant books, and scope out our prints and art cards. Kevin will be taking commissions at this show too! I got my Artist Alley panel approved for 4pm on Saturday. Come by and say hey!

You'll never guess... :iconkevinbolk: and :iconcomicalclare: have been bustin' their butts and it's DONE!  You can now buy the complete Ensign Two Wrath of Sue book before it finishes posting online.

Both our online stores have it!  US-based and international fans can find the book on Interrobang. Canadian fans will save on shipping by purchasing their books through Tower of Ash, our writer's small press company based near Toronto.

We promise the strips will continue posting every Friday, free to readers, all the way into July 2013.  But for the fans who hate to wait, we're going to press with the completed second collection which will ship out at the end of April 2013.

As a special "Thank You" to both Anime St. Louis and the folks that come to visit us at that show, Ensign Two comics and art will be available at the convention this April 12 - 14th before books ship to pre-orders.  It's the perfect chance to get the books early, get the books signed, and avoid shipping charges!

Apr 6 - 7th, Elizabethtown, PA
We're headed back to Elizabethtown College for Jaycon this April! We'll be running six programming events for a total of 9 programming hours. Kevin was honored with the con's request to design the Jaycon 4 program book cover this year, so come by the Dealer's room at any point and get yours signed!

Apr 12 - 14th, Collinsville, IL
Kevin unveils the second complete arc of Ensign Sue at Anime St. Louis in the Collinsville Gateway Center! Kevin's giving a pair of workshops and will be signing the living daylights out of every copy of Ensign Two sold.

Interrobang Studios will donate a complete set of our in print books to the Library Charity auction.  As a very special bonus--Kevin will be donating an ORIGINAL PIECE of ENSIGN SUE ARTWORK and a matching full-color print to the cause as well!

K-Bo & Sarah April Birthday Party!
Apr 19 - 21st, Rockville, MD

T-MODE always falls between our Birthdays. So last year, we threw an amazing 2 hour birthday party with all the trimmings: balloons, streamers, party games, prizes, and CAKE. We had such an amazing time, we decided to expand it this year: More birthday girls and boys--if you're an April Birthday, it's your party!  Look for more games, more prizes, and yes… MORE CAKE. Haha! Party details here!

CONVENTION PHOTOS!
You kmow we travel all over the place and take photos of just about everything and everyone we've met.  Wanna see what we've seen?  Wonder how the photo of you turned out?  We upload the best pictures to our Facebook Group.

We load them up in convention-themed albums, so that folks can find themselves quickly and easily. We welcome folks with FB accounts to tag themselves in our photos and share their favorite pictures with their friends.  Join the FB group to see updates & the freshest pictures!

We'll also post selections from the photos on tumblr accounts: kevinbolk & sarah-bang for our non-FB fans. We'll try to post'em here too, but we wanna focus on making comics first. ;P

On a personal note: I got summoned for jury duty for the first time ever.  That'll be exciting.  More on that as it develops.

Kevin, Chana, and I stopped at South of the Border on the way down AND back from Megacon in Orlando.  JUNK SHOP PARADISE!  Ha ha.  There's loads of weird pictures of us posing on and with fiberglass animals posted to the FB group under 'Megacon 2013.'

I'm about to go plan out the details of the T-MODE party... how many streamers to buy, how many balloons, how many pinata masks and party horns.  I love parties.  Like doofy, musical chairs, pinatas, donkey-tail-pinning parties.  I'm sad those are only for 'children.'  And I'm stoked to plan one for teens/adults at con.  :D

Find me and Kevin Bolk :iconkevinbolk: of Interrobang Studios at Indie Press booth #12 this coming weekend in Orlando, Florida.

MegaCon runs Friday, March 15th through Sunday March 17th.

This is the furthest south we've ever traveled for a show--come give us a high five! (Or stand back and observe us in our natural state: artists in the mist.)

Ha ha ha... 13 hours in the car!  CAN WE DO IT?!  YES WE CAN.

SPINKS! #2
I'm so happy.  It's my second book!  Interrobang Studios proudly presents the second black & white mini-comic collection of my comicSPINKS! and the reprint of the much-beloved SPINKS! #1 both for pre-order now in the studio's online store. As a special "Thank You"  to both Katsucon and the folks that come to visit me and :iconkevinbolk: at that show, both SPINKS! comics will be available at the convention this February before they ship to pre-orders.

Interrobang Newsletter subscribers received a coupon code for a free copy of Spinks! #2.  If you would like to be included in future newsletters with coupons, sneak peeks, and exclusive art, please feel free to sign up for our monthly emails.  (Ha ha, gotta plug the newsletter. I work hard on that--I'm stupidly proud of it, but I'm sorry for sounding so 'commercially!')

KATSUCON GUESTS
Feb 15 - 17th, National Harbor, MD
Kevin and I have been invited as guests this month!  So we return to the Gaylord National Harbor Resort for Katsucon this February! We'll be participating in
(or running!) at least seven programming events for Katsucon. If you can come out, look for our panels in your program book.  We talk about everything from drawing and publishing to obscure Saturday Morning  Cartoons.  It's a ton of fun.

Interrobang Studios has also donated a full set of the currently in-print library of books and a full set of Kevin's ten Sailor Scout prints to Sunday's charity auction to benefit the American Cancer Society.

DC Geeks Interview
This is so cool, guys.  While we were at MAGFest, the kind folks at DC Geeks sat down with us for a podcast interview.

**You can listen to the Interview here
[Run time 1hr 3min 51sec]

We discuss everything from the comic creation processes to the cartoons we can't stop watching.  We touch on how we got into comics, how we met each other, and how the studio evolved.  Kevin rides a unicycle.  It's an entertaining hour that could never have happened without DC Geeks!

Thank you, Scooter, Aine, & Brannen!

MEGACON: Our 1st Florida Con!
March 15 - 17 in Orlando, FL
Geez, guys!  A FLORIDA VACATION CONVENTION!  :boogie:Dis ees my island in dee sun! :boogie:  Find Interrobang Studios at Indy Press Booth #12. Megacon is our new record-holder for "Interrobang Convention Furthest South!"  We're looking forward to warm weather and good times.

ZENKAIKON: Playin' Anime in PA!
March 22 - 24 in Lancaster, PA
Back north again the next weekend, Kevin gets to go to this convention solo because I'm officially out of vacation days for a while thanks to Megacon.  Kevin has been invited to do badge art for Zenkaikon this year.  You should find him in the Artist Alley and get your adorable badge signed.

ASK THE ARTIST!
This is the Ask The Artist Group  If you missed Kevin and I on the Deviantart Interview group "Ask the Artist" late last year, we're being brought back for a special 'round table' discussion.  I'll post the link when we get more details, but keep your eye on the community for their posts and info.  :D

And personally--ha ha ha... it's mostly been day job work and studio stuff.  We're planning things out and laying the ground game.  I was serious about putting together a real business that PAYS EMPLOYEES and ARTISTS, but the more I work on our plans, the bigger a climb it seems.  That's for the best--I'll never get there if I don't understand how it all works and what all needs done.  It's just a bit humbling.  I'm working with an accountant this month to get more information about restructuring the business to do what I want it to do and make sure we stay on the up and up.  I'm looking into ad providers and traffic analyzers  to better position our web presence.  I'm planning book printing schedules and walking through processes with Kevin so we can produce and print everything we want to this year--and then checking our studio $ to make sure we can afford what we think we can create.

I'm missing Spink! updates, but I haven't given up.  I hit 'em when I can, and hope that the folks who love the little guys understand and will have patience with me.

Mostly, I'm out of casual hobbies (unless playing Tetris counts as one of those.)  I work, I studio, I sleep, and I love Kevin.  Makes my conversation somewhat lacking, but my local friends have been very understanding.

Do you guys have a passion?  A sport?  A fandom?  A project?  Tell me about yours.  I'm hungry to hear stories about other people climbing their mountains.

See you guys again as soon as I catch another break!
