SPINKS! #2I'm so happy. It's my second book!
Interrobang Studios proudly presents the second black & white mini-comic collection of my comic
SPINKS! and the reprint of the much-beloved SPINKS! #1 both for pre-order now in the studio's
online store. As a special "Thank You" to both
Katsucon and the folks that come to visit me and
at that show, both SPINKS! comics will be available at the convention this February before they ship to pre-orders.
Interrobang Newsletter subscribers received a coupon code for a free copy of Spinks! #2. If you would like to be included in future newsletters with coupons, sneak peeks, and exclusive art, please feel free to
sign up for our monthly emails. (Ha ha, gotta plug the newsletter. I work hard on that--I'm stupidly proud of it, but I'm sorry for sounding so 'commercially!')
KATSUCON GUESTSFeb 15 - 17th, National Harbor, MDKevin and I have been invited as guests this month! So we return to the
Gaylord National Harbor Resort for
Katsucon this February! We'll be participating in
(or running!) at least seven programming events for Katsucon. If you can come out, look for our panels in your program book. We talk about everything from drawing and publishing to obscure Saturday Morning Cartoons. It's a ton of fun.
Interrobang Studios has also donated a full set of the currently in-print library of books and a full set of Kevin's ten Sailor Scout prints to
Sunday's charity auction to benefit the
American Cancer Society. DC Geeks InterviewThis is so cool, guys. While we were at MAGFest, the kind folks at
DC Geeks sat down with us for a podcast interview.
**You can listen to the Interview here[Run time 1hr 3min 51sec]We discuss everything from the comic creation processes to the cartoons we can't stop watching. We touch on how we got into comics, how we met each other, and how the studio evolved. Kevin rides a unicycle. It's an entertaining hour that could never have happened without DC Geeks!
Thank you, Scooter, Aine, & Brannen!MEGACON: Our 1st Florida Con! March 15 - 17 in Orlando, FLGeez, guys! A FLORIDA

Find Interrobang Studios at Indy Press Booth #12.
Megacon is our new record-holder for "Interrobang Convention Furthest South!" We're looking forward to warm weather and good times.
ZENKAIKON: Playin' Anime in PA!March 22 - 24 in Lancaster, PABack north again the next weekend, Kevin gets to go to this convention solo because I'm officially out of vacation days for a while thanks to Megacon. Kevin has been invited to do badge art for
Zenkaikon this year. You should find him in the Artist Alley and get your adorable badge signed.
ASK THE ARTIST!This is the Ask The Artist Group If you missed Kevin and I on the Deviantart Interview group "Ask the Artist" late last year, we're being brought back for a special 'round table' discussion. I'll post the link when we get more details, but keep your eye on the community for their posts and info.
And personally--ha ha ha... it's mostly been day job work and studio stuff. We're planning things out and laying the ground game. I was serious about putting together a real business that PAYS EMPLOYEES and ARTISTS, but the more I work on our plans, the bigger a climb it seems. That's for the best--I'll never get there if I don't understand how it all works and what all needs done. It's just a bit humbling. I'm working with an accountant this month to get more information about restructuring the business to do what I want it to do and make sure we stay on the up and up. I'm looking into ad providers and traffic analyzers to better position our web presence. I'm planning book printing schedules and walking through processes with Kevin so we can produce and print everything we want to this year--and then checking our studio $ to make sure we can afford what we think we can create.
I'm missing Spink! updates, but I haven't given up. I hit 'em when I can, and hope that the folks who love the little guys understand and will have patience with me.
Mostly, I'm out of casual hobbies (unless playing Tetris counts as one of those.) I work, I studio, I sleep, and I love Kevin. Makes my conversation somewhat lacking, but my local friends have been very understanding.
Do you guys have a passion? A sport? A fandom? A project? Tell me about yours. I'm hungry to hear stories about other people climbing their mountains.
See you guys again as soon as I catch another break!
