Kyabetsu Fandom Flashback #2.
There's a recurring 'turltes in drag' theme throughout my older pieces. Not cause I thought it was hot, but because it made me giggle-snort.
This was done on printer paper, w/ a #2 pencil, bic ink pen, and colored pencils circa 2002. I had no concept of what inking was for or what line-weights did. I had no real computer coloring programs. And I had a mini hand-held scanner which used MSPaint to stitch the two strips of art together like a quilt.In the snow! Uphill! Both ways!
...and I was in my first RPG...
Plot of the RPG aside, the Leonardo I played would have very vivid, metaphorical meditation sessions with another player who played Leo's subconscious avatar: a chain-smoking dragon that both supported and frustrated Leonardo's attempt at inner peace.
So of course I memorialized it by putting Leo in a dress and insinuating that his astral trips might be the result of recreational pharmaceuticals.
Beyond the whole 'memory lane' thing, the Cheshire Rat remains my favorite thing about this piece.

I used to have a ton of your art from that era on my hard drive (alas I lost it in a hard drive crash). Pretty sure this was among them.
