Scholar's Sceptre

Day Lily. Specimen Photo: Scholar's Sceptre. BIG FLOWER: a good 6 1/2 to 7 inches--saucer size. The Plant itself is taller than the other varieties in the bed. Quite an impressive "presence" for a flower. In retrospect, the picture is too close. I needed more frame, but that flower was long gone by the time i'd processed my photos. Summer 2003.
